MilaCell™ Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (HEMC) is non-ionic, water soluble cellulose ether which offers a variety of functional properties when dissolved in water. It can be used as thickeners, binders, surfactants, protective colloids,suspending agents and water retention agents in many construction materials. The most important fields of application for MilaCell™ Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (HEMC) are Tile adhesives, Wall putty, Skim coat, Renders and Plasters.

Water retention
Substantially reduces the loss of water when applied to water absorbing materials especially in high-temperature environments, effectively prolonging the opening time.
Anti-sagging resistance
Increases the thixotrophy of the product and prevent sagging to various substrates. provides adhesives with better slip property.
Thickening effects
Increases the viscosity of the product and enhances the stability of the suspension. When used as a thickener in building applications, it prevents segregation and improves the cohesion of the formulation components.
Non-ionic charges
Compatible with other ionic and non-ionic additives in aqueous solutions, providing a stable combination when dissolved in water.
Higher gel temperature
Higher gel temperature, ensure the stability of the final products.
pH stability
Stable in the range of pH 3.0~11.0.
